Job Responsibility:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manager - Operations to join our Mutual Fund team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of mutual fund operations and will be responsible for overseeing and managing daily operational activities. This role will involve coordinating and ensuring the seamless execution of various functions within the mutual fund operations framework, including transaction processing, NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations, regulatory compliance, and fund administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end operational process for mutual fund transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchases, redemptions, switches, and dividends.
- Supervise daily NAV calculations and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of investment portfolios, bank accounts, and other key operational data.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Implement best practices in fund accounting, transaction processing, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to streamline workflows, reduce operational risk, and increase productivity.
- Regulatory and Compliance Adherence:
- Ensure compliance with SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Manage regulatory reporting and work closely with compliance teams to ensure all operational activities meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up to date with changes in regulatory frameworks and industry practices to implement timely updates.
- Vendor and Third-Party Management:
- Liaise with custodians, transfer agents, fund administrators, and other third-party service providers to ensure the smooth execution of operational tasks.
- Maintain effective relationships with key service providers to resolve operational issues and improve service delivery.
- Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Monitor and identify operational risks within mutual fund operations and proactively address issues to minimize potential operational disruptions.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with the risk management and compliance teams.
- Resolve escalated operational issues from clients, investors, and internal stakeholders.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the operations team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear objectives for team members to ensure operational excellence.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular operational reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), operational issues, and improvement plans.
- Monitor and analyze operational trends to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency or cost reduction.
- Client and Investor Interaction:
- Provide operational support to relationship managers and client-facing teams, ensuring excellent customer service and timely resolution of investor queries.
- Assist in handling investor complaints related to operational matters and ensure timely resolution.
